Actor Vijay out of 3 Idiots ?

The most shocking news now in Kollywood is actor Vijay may not take part in the tamil version of 3 Idiots. No other movie in recent times has garnered so much attention even before its making as this one.With a lot of expectation over the making and the star cast of the film,the Tamil remake of Aamir Khans 3 idiots is already the talk of the town.But just when we were thinking that all is well,here comes a shocker Ilaiyathalapathy Vijay himself might be out of the mega project! 

The latest buzz is that Vijay and the director of the film,Shankar,had a difference of opinion over the film and have agreed to part as friends.Reports say that Vijay did not approve of his clothes and his look in the film,in which he plays a college student.Moreover,the actor is currently shooting for Velayudham in which he sports a particular look.As he is yet to finish the shoot on this project,which stars Genelia and Hansika in the lead,reports state that he didnt want to change his look as he believed there would be a lack of continuity.

However,a source close to the developments told CT that the actor may not do the film because hell soon float a political party.An announcement regarding this is expected soon, informed the source.
When CT asked the actor about this during the trailer launch of Kaavalan held yesterday,Vijay remained tightlipped and said,Let the information come from the producers side. The shooting for 3 idiots was expected to begin on December 6 in Dehradun.This will be the next big project for director Shankar after the success of the Rajinikanth-starrer Endhiran.

Meanwhile,Vijay is all excited about his Kaavalan,which is expected to hit the screens later this month.I was supposed to do the film two years ago,even before the making of its Malayalam version Bodyguard,but I got the opportunity only now.Its a nice romantic tale on the lines of Kadhalukku Mariyadhai,Kushi and Sachien,and will make you laugh and cry at the same time.Though its a remake of Bodyguard,we have changed the entire first half.The film might have faced a lot of controversies right from the beginning,but I was never really bogged down by them.The audiences will see me in different light in this film.

Raththa Charithram Movie Review

Raththa Charithram is trilingual movie (Hindi, Tamil and Telugu) raised hype among the audiences since the movie is based on a true story. The movie has two volumes. Both the volumes are integrated into a single part in the Tamil version and it got released today. 

The main plot of the movie deals with the vengeance generated in a youth’s mind due to the violent behaviour of the political rivals. The movie is crafted around a true incident happened in the life of Paritala Ravindra, a political leader in Andhra Pradesh. The character of Paritala Ravindra is carried by Vivek oberai in the movie and actor Surya enacting the role of Maddelacheruvu Suri. Priyamani has acted as a female lead opposite Surya.

The movie starts with Gautham menon narrating the abstract of the movie’s first volume. Ram Gopal Varma, the acclaimed director got interested in taking a movie based on the political rivals in Andra Pradesh and he scripted it well to achieve the cinematic experience. The cinematography of the movie is blended with blood and violence. Surya has done justice to his role and his eye expressions are just brilliant, which reflects an avenging wrath in each and every frame. He has done a severe exertion for this movie. It reflects in the scenes shot in prison. Vivek oberai, played his part perfect as a rival youth turned political leader. Priyamani has not played a powerful role and she carried the role given to her, flawlessly throughout the movie.

Though, a severe work involved in the film, it makes the audience feel dragging in some portions. Overall, it is a biopic film and strictly not watchable for patrons below 18.

Surya may join hands with Selvaraghavan

Surya, the actor had a meeting with the accomplished director Selvaraghavan recently. In the meeting, selvaraghavan has narrated a script to surya and the actor is pretty much impressed with the script, the sources reveal. 

Director Selvaraghavan, who has delivered some blockbusters in Tamil film industry is having tough times now. After his success of Kadhal Konden and 7G Rainbow Colony, the director has worked a lot to bring the script of Pudhupettai and he visualized it well to our audiences. But for some reasons including its violence, it has failed to captivate the family audiences and the movie resulted as an average grosser.

Then, the director thought of making a film in telugu film industry has taken Adavari mattalukku ardhalu verule, which gained him a box-office breaker. Posting the success of  it, the film was remade in Tamil as Yaradi nee Mohini. In tamil, it ran 100 days packed houses. It is to be noted that Selvaraghavan worked as a writer in the tamil version.But, the director's prolonged release Aayirathil Oruvan was resulted in vain.

Now, Surya is already shining as a successful star is being impressed by the script narrated by selvaraghavan and asked him to complete the script. After consulting with his favorite director K.V.Anand, Surya has confirmed to act in selvaraghavan movie. So this time, it is going to be Surya-Selvaraghavan combo and its sure it will work out well in box office.

The sources close to the kavalan unit reveals some incidents happened during the kavalan shoot.


1.During bangkok shooting, Martial arts master gave some gift to vijay for acting in stunt    scenes without dupe
2.During mettupalaym train shooting, there was a scene Vijay must get out from running   train, unit wanted to shoot it with dupe, but during the making, Vijay suddenly did it   and gave surprise

3.During Pune shoot, Vijay n others stayed in tent in forest area, Unit were shocked to see   Big snakes around there at night, But still Vijay made sure he stayed there itself and   finished the song shoot

4.Song was taken in mid sea(30km into sea) at malaysia

5.Rajkiran when came for dubbing, saw few scenes and he got emotional and got tears. After   3 hours of relaxation, he finished dubbing

6.Last 20 min of the movie will be great highlight as per director view
7.Its true that asin had few call sheet problems, still Vijay made sure he waited patiently   to co operate and completed the movie.
8.During mettupalaym shoot, heavy crowd came to see shooting,it seems Vijay gave many mike   conversations to the crowd to make the shoot peaceful.

Surya got injured at 7am Arivu shoot

Surya, the versatile actor is currently working in a biggie '7am Arivu' we all knew. The happening news is that the actor has got injured while performing a stunt sequence in the movie. The actor, influential for his backbreaking works has already faced an injury during the shoot of Kaakha Kaakha (the first two takes of the opening scene was done by Surya).


7am Arivu is being directed by the distinctive thinking director A.R.Murugadoss. The script of the movie itself has consumed a bigger time and the character of Surya is a circus stunt man, the sources reveal. The actor has already practiced some stunts specially for this movie. One of his stunt sequences has taken part  in Binny mills, recently. During the powerful shoot, the actor has got sprain in his ankles. After consulting the doctor, he was advised to take a bed rest for three days. It is to be noted that Shruti hassan has also got injured past a couple of months, shooting for a stunt sequence in 7am Arivu.


Actor Surya has also followed a severe exertion for the movie 'Raththa Charithram', which is going to hit the screens this Friday.Now, a proverb comes to remembrance. 'Hard work pays it off'. Enclosing all the efforts taken for the movie, its sure the 7am Arivu team is going to earn a special place in the history of Tamil Cinema.

Manmadhan Ambu - A Christmas treat

Subramiyapuram in Hindi

The all-center super hit film Subramaniyapuram is in all ways set to be remade in Hindi is the latest buzz around kodambakkam. The remake is going to be directed by Anurag Kashyap of 'Dev D' fame.

Anurag Kashyap, the man has not only acclaimed for his direction, but also for his writing. Has has written for Sathya(Ram Gopal Varma), Nayak - The Real Hero(Shankar) and Yuva(Mani ratnam).

He has attended the audio launch of Eesan recently and bestowed his congratulations to the subramaniyapuram team. He had a long time conversation with sasikumar appreciating his work and he told him that if sasikumar wants to do a movie in Hindi, he would be penning the dialogues for the movie.Sasikumar, the director of Eesan is excited about being rewarded by the great diector Anurag Kashyap. He also feels that his movie is in the safe hands.

Anurag kashyap, being captivated by the storyline portraying the village violence is yet to conclude the casting for the film, except the female lead. The heroine of the movie is finalized as Vidya Balan. She is the apt person to play the role of Swathi, the director feels.

Vijay may start a new party ahead of 2011 election

Actor Vijay recently had a meeting with his fans on Monday. Reportedly it is a closed door meeting held in J S Kalyana mandapan(Vadapalani). He told his fans that he is about to start a new party ahead of 2011 election. The fans felt overpowered by hearing this news. Some suggested the actor to start a party of his own and some others suggested to have an alliance with AIADMK.Whatever goes, no news is officially announced to the press. So, the public can expect a new party start floating after the release of Kavalan.

The Indian Superstar Rajnikanth recently visited his long time friend Kannan's Beauty Parlor. He has arrived to the parlor shockingly without giving prior information. The friend of superstar and the parlor owner named Kannan has felt dignified while Rajni's visit.

"Rajinikanth had a hair cut and spent a long time conversing with me and my family members.We have also taken a snap with him and he told me to keep it safe", Kannan says.

Udhayanidhi pairs up with Shruti hassan

The hot cake on the dish is Udhayanidhi Stalin, the producer and the owner of Red Giant Movies banner is going to pair up with Shruti Hassan.

We already knew that Udhayanidhi has made a commitment with director Rajesh of "Boss Engira Baskaran" fame. It has been quite a long time they were in search of the heroine to pair opposite Udhayanidhi. Breaking the ice, the team reveals the female lead is none other than Shruti Hassan.

Shruti Hassan, the actress is currently working on her debuntant tamil film "7 Am Arivu", which is a grandeur. Following it, she has also got another biggie with Udhayanidhi.  The film was titled as 'Oru kal oru kannadi' previously and now they have changed it to 'Nanbenda'. The movie is expected to start rolling in the coming month and it is a visual treat for sure.

K.Balachandar appreciates "Mandhira Punnagai"

'Iyakkunar Sigaram' K.Balachandar appreciates  Karu. Palaniappan for his work in Mandhira punnagai. The independent-minded director has written a letter to Karu.Palaniappan praising his recently released Mandhira Punnagai. In the letter he points that the director cleverly crafted the movie expressing the human emotions and values in the present days and the screenplay of the movie was handled very well. He mentions that the film portrays the hurdles and the situation a young man faces in day today's life. In addition to Karu's acting, K.Balachandar also praised the work of music director Vidyasagar and comedian Sanhthanam's acting in the film.
